Indian Canyons Golf Resort

Indian Canyons Golf Resort has been a Palm Springs treasure since 1961. Hollywood celebrities like Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason and former U.S. President Ronald Reagan have all walked these same fairways back in their day. Home to 36 holes of golf, the North Course and the South Course, Indian Canyons is set on 550 acers of tribal Native American property.

The North Course is the longer of the 2 courses and plays up to 6,943 yards and gives way to majestic mountain views and distinct middle century homes (many of which were owned by Walt Disney). There are a total of 6 water hazards on the course and there is a lake between the 9th and 18th holes; home to the famous Disney fountain, which shoots water 100 feet in the air. 3 sides of the North course are surrounded by the San Jacinto Mountains. Because of this you are almost guaranteed to enjoy your round of golf without wind.

The South Course is a favorite amongst women because of the 4,878 yard forward tees. This course is home to 4 ponds and 850 Palm Trees. And 500 Washingtonia Filifera, a tree native to the Agua Caliente Native American Tribe. This 6,560 yard championship course features 4 larges lakes that come into play on 6 holes. There are also (5) par 5's that offer rolling fairways and mounds. Lining the fairways are 60 and bunkers lining the fairways and also greenside. Incredible views of the San Jacinto Mountain Range may be seen from all angles of the course. There are 5 tee placements available to you making this course an enjoyable challenge for all skill levels.

Scenic Hole Fact: Hole #9 on the South Course overlooks the San Jacinto Mountains and crosses a body of water where you can see a reflection of the hole looking back at you. Palm trees situate the background and you can at times see snow on top of the mountain peaks.
